Fifth graders at the North Hills Campus worked with local artist Stevo to make part of a mosaic for the wall at the entrance to the main building.
The mosaic is this year’s “legacy” project, artwork that each year’s fifth graders make to leave something behind to beautify the school. The wall mural will be a three-year project. Students in grades three, four, and five worked with Stevo to create drawings of things in the pond, and Stevo put them together in a design. Fifth graders cut glass and used the pieces to puzzle together a beautiful mosaic. The first part is now on the wall. The rest will be unveiled by upcoming fifth graders. (Shhh, it is a secret.) The mural is one of many City as Our Campus projects enabling our students to work with local experts in their fields.
