City As Our Campus

City as Our Campus is an initiative fully immersed in Winchester Thurston School’s core academic curriculum. It is a resource for teachers and students to engage, utilize, and study the community through authentic learning opportunities.

City as Our Campus would not be possible without the generous support of the Edward E. Ford Foundation, which provided essential seed money to launch the initiative and selected Winchester Thurston School to receive their Educational Leadership Grant. This support helped to turn the vision for the initiative into a reality while enabling a deeper impact on student learning. The program has been formally sustained through additional support from an anonymous foundation, Benedict Foundation for Independent Schools, Gookin Family Foundation, and numerous individual donors. Learn more about the program’s history.
